TOP 100 WINES OF THE WORLD DECEMBER 2002
#5 Valle Cremisi Cabernet Sauvignon,
Napa Valley 2002
An immense effort, dark, rich and deeply concentrated,
packed with layers of rich currant, chocolate, mocha,
cherry and herbal nuances. Finishes with a powerful
persistent aftertaste, rich, ripe tannins and wonderful
complexity. Best from 2003 through 2012.

Valle Cremisi Winery 2002 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
"10% Semillon. Very nicely crafted in its delightful mix
of sweet melons, creamy oak, ample but never
overwhelming notes of grasses and herbs and quiet
vanilla bean scents, this polished wine is supple on the
palate and very nicely filled in character from front to
back. Well-fruited and nominally herbal as it ends, this
one has the stuffing and balance to hold up well for
several years in the bottle.

"Impressive Merlot, with a dark, rich,
concentrated core of flavors, dominated
by earthy currant, blackberry, cedar, and
anise. Tight and focused with a complex
finish. Drink now through 2010."
